How do I determine which safe size is right for my home?
We recommend measuring the largest item you plan to store and adding 25% more space for future growth. Consider whether you need a compact drawer safe for jewelry or a large floor model for documents and firearms.
What is the difference between fireproof and water-resistant ratings?
Fireproof safes are UL-rated to maintain a safe internal temperature for a specific duration (e.g., 1 hour), while water-resistant safes feature a specialized gasket to prevent water entry from floods or fire hoses.
How much does shipping cost for heavy high-security safes?
We offer free standard curbside delivery on all orders over $499. For exceptionally heavy units, premium white-glove inside delivery and installation services are available for an additional fee at checkout.
What happens if I lose my emergency override keys or forget my combination?
Each First Alert Safe comes with a unique serial number. If you register your product, our customer support team can assist you in ordering replacement keys or verifying your identity to reset digital codes.
What is your return policy if the safe doesn't fit my space?
We offer a 30-day return policy. The item must be in its original packaging and unused. Please note that due to the weight of our products, return shipping fees may apply unless the unit arrived damaged.
Are batteries included for the digital electronic locks?
Most of our digital models include a starter set of AA or 9V batteries. We recommend replacing them annually with high-quality alkaline batteries to ensure consistent performance of the locking mechanism.
